Details:

  • Estimated to date to the 19th century
  • Originally used to store needles and/or thimbles
  • Beautiful tortoiseshell on all sides, including bottom
  • Original deep red silk lining
  • Working button-release mechanism

Measurement: 

  • 2" X 1 1/2" X 1 1/4"

Condition:

  • Small deep scratch to bottom, no missing shell. See photos 11 and 12
  • Small circle of original lining missing from inside bottom
  • Some cracking along the top bone edge; intact with no pieces missing
  • This is an antique piece, so normal wear consistent with age should be expected. Please review all photos closely.
