Details:

  • Estimated to date to the 19th century
  • Beautiful lacquered tortoiseshell on all sides
  • Mounted in brass, possibly bronze
  • Four decorative adornments, one on each side
  • Working clasp
  • Original deep dusty blue lining with beaded tucks
  • Beveled glass top that refracts sunlight, casting a rainbow effect
  • Four detailed feet

Measurement: 

  • 2 3/8" X 1 7/8" X 1 5/8"

Condition:

  • Wear and a stain to lining, as pictured
  • Internal bruising beneath the lacquered finish, not felt to the touch, similar to a bruise in glass, as pictured
  • Feet sit slightly unevenly
  • Extremely minor flea bites to edges of beveled glass
  • One internal bruise underneath a tab, inside the glass. Hard to see from outside. 
  • This is an antique piece, so normal wear consistent with age should be expected. Please review all photos closely.
