Antique Miniature French Marquetry Jardinière

Details:

• Estimated to date to the 19th century
• Includes waterproof original liner
• Marquetry inlaid wood throughout
• Mounted in gilt metal, brass or bronze
• Smaller in scale than most jardinières of this type
• Burlwood panels on all four sides

Measurement:

• Handle to handle: 12 1/2"
• Front to back: 7 7/8"
• Height: 5 3/8"

Condition:

• One foot sits slightly higher than others causing minor tilt. Can be solved with an added felt pad.
• No missing pieces of inlay
• One chip on top edge as pictured
• One crack to underside of bottom as pictured
• Some darkening to the gilt mounts
• One gilt mount has a split but is still attached in both places
• Original liner has been repaired to be waterproofed
• This is an antique piece, so normal wear consistent with age should be expected. Please review all photos closely.
