This beautiful antique jardinière features bronze mountings and trim, kingswood inlay, and a hand-painted Sèvres-style porcelain plaque with floral decoration.
A truly stunning decorative piece, it may be used for flowers, as a wine or champagne cooler, or for displaying books.
Measurements: External: 14" wide with handles x 6 3/4" tall x 10 1/4" deep Internal (liner): 11 1/8" x 8 1/8"
Condition: This is an antique piece, so normal wear consistent with age should be expected. Minor splitting to the lower front center, as pictured. The underside of the base has splitting; see last image. This does not affect the use of the piece due to the liner. Minor veneer wear in one area, as pictured. The mountings and trim show patina and color loss, as pictured. The trim may be polished, though I personally chose not to risk damaging the surrounding wood. The liner previously had splitting, which I visibly repaired, and it is now watertight.
